Privacy Policy
PuttPOV is a single-player iPhone game. We collect only what we need to keep the app stable and understand which features are used. No ads, no profiling, no resale.

The short version
- We collect anonymous gameplay analytics and crash reports through Google Firebase.
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or microphone/camera input.
- We do not show ads, do not use IDFA tracking, and do not sell or share data with advertisers.
- Your high scores and purchase entitlements live in iOS UserDefaults on your device. They never reach our servers.
- To request deletion of your analytics/crash data, email pondd.me@gmail.com.
Data we collect
Anonymous gameplay analytics (Firebase Analytics)
We log named events so we can see which greens get played, where players quit, and whether new features work. Each event is tied to a randomized Firebase analytics instance ID — not to your Apple ID, email, name or address.

Crash diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics)
If the app crashes we receive a stack trace plus diagnostic context that helps us reproduce and fix the bug:
- iOS version and device model
- App version and bundle identifier (
com.puttpov.PuttPOV) - The green ID/title you were playing (e.g.,
PebbleBeachHole7) - The challenge kind/date you were on (e.g., daily, practice)
- Distance to the hole at the moment of the crash
None of this is personally identifying. It is held by Google Firebase under their privacy policy and used only to debug PuttPOV.
Local data that stays on your device
- High scores per green. Saved in iOS UserDefaults under the key
PuttPOV.PuttHoleRecords.v1. - Purchase entitlement. Read from Apple StoreKit's current entitlements; PuttPOV itself stores no payment information.
This data is included in your iCloud device backup if you have backups enabled. Deleting the app removes it from your device.
Data we do not collect
- No name, email address, phone number, postal address.
- No precise or coarse location.
- No microphone or camera access — PuttPOV never asks.
- No access to contacts, photos, calendars, reminders, health or motion data.
- No IDFA / ad tracking — PuttPOV does not call
ATTrackingManager. - No third-party advertising networks integrated.
- No social-login data.
Third parties
Two services receive data from the app:
- Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics). Hosted by Google LLC. See Firebase privacy and security.
- Apple StoreKit. Apple processes the one-time "Unlock Everything" purchase. We never see your payment details — only a verified receipt that unlocks content. See Apple's privacy policy.
Children
PuttPOV is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and the app collects no personally identifying information from anyone of any age.
Your rights and choices
- Delete the app at any time to remove all local data from your device.
- Reset advertising/analytics identifiers via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Apple Advertising.
- Request deletion of analytics/crash data tied to your device by emailing pondd.me@gmail.com. We'll initiate deletion in Firebase within 30 days.
- Refund or purchase issues are handled by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect we'll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will also be mentioned in App Store release notes.
